What Is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Also known as "feeds" or "news feeds", it is a way for you to see when new content is added, using a "reader" program, or your browser.

How Do I use it?

IE7
The latest version of Internet Explorer Web Browser contains a program to read RSS Feeds. In Internet Explorer 7, click the icon on the bar that has a picture similar to the one on this page. If it is orange, that means that this page has an RSS feed available. You will see the feed, and can subscribe to the feed, so that you can check on your favorite pages at a glance

Firefox
In firefox, they use the term "Live Bookmarks". You will see an the orange icon appear in the address bar, of any page that has a feed. Click on the icon to see the feed, and subscribe if you wish to.

What is Subscribing?

Subscribing to a RSS feed means that your browser will keep track of when the content is updated. It does not involve you signing up for anything, and does not involve email, and is anonymous.
