CELEBRATION! CINEMA TAPPED TO PRESENT FIRST-EVER

LIVE 3D NBA EVENT

NBA All Star Event ("All Star Saturday Night") Comes To

 Celebration! Cinema In Digital 3D  

 

Grand Rapids, Michigan - - Wednesday, December 10th,  2008  - - Celebration! Cinema North will be one of only 80 theatres in the country to present TNT’s coverage of NBA All-Star Saturday Night in LIVE 3D.

            Turner Sports and Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. will team up to broadcast TNT’s coverage of NBA All-Star Saturday Night in LIVE 3-D to 80 digitally-equipped theaters across the United States. The announcement represents the first-ever fully marketed deal to broadcast an NBA sporting event to the public in LIVE 3-D on a nationwide basis.           

The 24th annual NBA All-Star Saturday Night broadcast, expected to be one of the year’s most watched sporting events, is scheduled to air Saturday, February 14th, 2009 at 8 pm EST.

"We are working quickly to get tickets on sale," said J.D. Loeks, Chief Operating Officer for Celebration! Cinema.  "This is a ground-breaking event that will set the stage for more sports on the big screen." 

NBA fans will be able to cheer together from the equivalent of courtside seats as the league’s top players compete in the following major events (competitors to be announced closer to the event): Haeir Shooting Stars, Playstation Skills Challenge, Footlocker Three-Point Shootout and Sprite Slam Dunk.
