GRAND RAPIDS AUDIENCES TO MEET ACTOR RYAN DEVLIN
Grand Rapids native will appear at Celebration! Cinema North for premiere of
 "Weather Girl" September 4th

Grand Rapids, Michigan - -  Friday, August 28th - -2009 - - Grand Rapids native Ryan Devlin will be returning home to promote the local premiere of the film "Weather Girl". Ryan has acted in a variety of TV shows, including "Veronica Mars", "CSI: Miami", "Big Shots" and has hosted MTV shows "Rock The Cradle" and "ET on MTV".  "Weather Girl" marks his first lead in a feature film which has played to packed theaters at festivals such as Slamdance, Vail Film Festival, and Saugatuck's Waterfront Film Festival.
"We are always so excited to showcase local talent at our theatres," said Ron VanTimmeren, VP of Programming for Celebration! Cinema.  "We are proud of Ryan's success and we are excited for friends, family and our community to see him on the big screen and show their support with the movie he is headlining."
The film, a romantic comedy, centers on a successful career woman in her 30's that has a personal meltdown on air while hosting the morning news show.  After losing her job and boyfriend, her only option is to move in with her slacker brother (Devlin) and try to get her life back on track.  Along with Devlin, the cast includes Tricia O'Kelley, Mark Harmon, Jon Cryer, Jane Lynch, and Patrick J Adams. The film was written and directed by Blayne Weaver.
Ryan Devlin attended Forest Hills Central High School and Michigan State University. Upon graduation he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting and writing. His parents still reside in Grand Rapids.
"Weather Girl" opens September 4th for a seven day run at Celebration Cinema North and Ryan will be available for media interviews by appointment September 2nd through September 4th.  A special premiere is planned at 6:40 pm Friday, September 4, at Celebration! Cinema North, with Ryan Devlin making a special appearance for a Question & Answer session!
